Can't you see? You're doing it all wrong! This statement, often perceived as harsh criticism, can actually be a pivotal moment of enlightenment if approached with the right mindset and tools. The neuroscience of observation, a complex yet fascinating subject, suggests that truly understanding our actions and behaviors requires an almost out-of-body experience. It's about seeing ourselves through the eyes of others, which goes beyond the simple act of looking in a mirror.

As business owners or leaders, we sometimes overlook the fact that our team members might not realize their mistakes for two primary reasons: A) They lack the perspective to see themselves from an external viewpoint, and B) They don't have sufficient experience to recognize their errors. This is particularly true for individuals who have embarked on a business venture within a trade they are deeply familiar with and where they are respected for their quality of work. Their journey, marked by lessons learned from mentors, peers, and their own mistakes, has allowed their skills to evolve significantly. However, when deeply engrossed in their tasks, it becomes challenging for them to identify what might be going wrong.
